Brand Pulse
MilanAura Methodology · Six-dimension authority scoring updated every Monday
Brand Pulse is MilanAura's authority scoring system — a composite measure of professional visibility across six dimensions, updated every Monday alongside the weekly content pack. It gives professionals a single number that tracks whether their visibility is compounding or stagnating, and which specific dimension needs attention.
Most professionals have no objective measure of their visibility. They know their follower count. They see impression numbers. But they have no way to understand whether those numbers reflect compounding authority or temporary spikes — and no diagnostic that tells them which specific element of their presence is underperforming.

The Six Dimensions
1
Profile Authority
How well the LinkedIn profile communicates specific expertise to the right audience. Measures headline clarity, About section positioning, featured section quality, and whether the profile converts visitors into followers or trial requests. A profile optimised for search and for conversion scores differently from one that simply describes a career history.
2
Content Consistency
The regularity and predictability of content output. Not volume — consistency. A professional who publishes three times a week every week scores higher than one who publishes daily for two weeks and then disappears for a month. Consistency is the compound mechanism: the LinkedIn algorithm rewards predictable creators, and audiences form expectations that drive return visits.
3
Niche Keywords
Whether the content and profile are using the specific language that buyers and decision-makers use when searching for expertise in this domain. Generic professional language scores low. Precise, specific terminology that matches how ideal clients describe their problems scores high. This dimension also tracks keyword consistency — whether the same core terms appear repeatedly across posts, profile, and articles to build topical authority.
4
AI Citation Readiness
Whether the content and associated web presence are structured in a way that AI tools — Perplexity, ChatGPT with browsing, Google AI Overviews — can find, understand, and cite. This includes having a body of indexed long-form content, structured data markup on web pages, clear named methodologies and frameworks, and external citations from third-party sources. As AI-driven discovery becomes a primary channel for finding experts, this dimension measures the footprint available for AI tools to reference.
5
Engagement Trend
The direction of audience engagement over the trailing four weeks — not the absolute number but the trajectory. A professional with 200 impressions per post trending upward scores higher than one with 1,000 impressions trending downward. This dimension captures whether the content is building momentum or losing it, and which content formats are driving the trend.
6
Inbound Signal
Evidence that the visibility is converting into real business activity — connection requests from ideal clients, direct messages referencing content, profile visits from decision-makers, newsletter subscribers, demo requests, and trial sign-ups. This is the dimension that connects visibility to pipeline. A high Brand Pulse score with a low Inbound Signal score indicates that the audience being built is not the right audience for the business.
Brand Pulse is not a vanity metric. Each dimension connects to a specific decision. A drop in Content Consistency triggers a review of the content schedule. A drop in AI Citation Readiness triggers a review of the blog and structured data. A drop in Inbound Signal triggers a review of the ICP targeting in the content.
How It Updates
Brand Pulse is recalculated every Monday as part of the weekly content pack generation. The score arrives in the dashboard alongside the 14 content files — so professionals see their authority trajectory at the same moment they receive the week's content. If the score dropped, the content pack is adjusted to address the weakest dimension. If it rose, the system notes which content type drove the improvement and weights future generation accordingly.
